Steps, walls, water features and garden stone

Landscape work uses natural stone in more forms than architecture does: steps and risers, retaining and boundary walls, stepping stones, water feature linings, pebble and river stone, and edging.

Indonesian stone suits this work because the same palette covers everything — dark lava and andesite for structure and paths, green stone for water, pale limestone for walls and detail — so a garden can be built from one supplier and one shipment.

For landscape projects we normally quote a mixed container, combining several stones and formats in one shipment.

What matters here

Specification notes

Mixed shipments: Landscape projects rarely need a full container of one item. We consolidate several stones and formats into one container and mark each crate by element.
Steps and risers: Step treads are produced in heavier sections with a finished nosing. Send the step section and we will produce to it.
Water features: Stone in permanent contact with water should be selected and sealed with that exposure in mind. Green stone and lava stone are commonly used.
Weathering: Natural stone changes appearance outdoors over time. Expect the surface to develop a patina; this is normal and not a defect.
